Public Service Activities

The members of the Anchorage Amateur Radio Club provide communications and logistics support for a number of events throughout the year, including the Anchorage FurRendevous World Championship Sled Dog Race (February), the Iditarod Anchorage-Nome Sled Dog Race (March), the Anchorage Walk for Hope (May) and GOLD NUGGET TRIATHLON.  In June AARC supports the Mayor's Marathon to celebrate the Summer Solstice (June) and numerous other events throughout the year. We support the MS150 Bike ride from Hope, AK to Seward each September.

If you're interested in providing communications assistance for any of these and many other activities, contact the activities manager.  Information regarding public service events is also published monthly in the AARC Newsletter and in KL7AA-7 packet bulletins.
